Getting into Shinjuku City is not a problem, the JR Yanamote Line is one of the dozen or so rail and stop for buses from around Japan as well as local buses.

Kabukicho, is the crazy entertainment district to the east of the ward. Best known for the neon lights and adult nightlife of clubs and pubs along with many restaurants. Golden Gai hosts hundreds of tiny one counter restaurants down its dimly lit alleyways. During the day you can take in some of the more interactive museums like the Samurai Museum. Look out for the giant Godzilla head topping a skyscraper and don’t miss the show at the legendary Robot Restaurant.

When you have exhausted the shopping and entertainment options visit Shinjuku Gyoen National Park. Somewhere for a relaxing stroll and break from all the hubbub. The park is huge and has three distinct garden styles (French, English and Japanese) for you to wander through.
